Chilly weather is upon us here in Washington County.

Is your Fayetteville, AR, home or business prepared for the frosty slide into winter? When you switch your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) thermostat to heat, your gas furnace should be clean, inspected, and ready to operate at peak performance for the next several months.

Preventative maintenance is the only way to prepare your heating system to work safely and efficiently through winter.

At Ozark Mountain Air, we believe the best time for a tune-up is early fall before you use your furnace daily. Learn why.

When Is It Best to Schedule Furnace Maintenance?

Professional maintenance can be performed on your furnace at any time of the year. It is worth the investment.

But the best time to schedule it is in the fall, right before the weather gets too cold. You want to be sure you can depend on your heating system when you need it.

A fall furnace tune-up lets our Ozark Mountain Air professionals catch any minor issues and resolve them immediately. You will enjoy optimal comfort and peace of mind knowing your system is running safely and efficiently.

Here’s How a Fall Tune-Up Helps:

  • System Safety
This is a prime reason to inspect your heating system before putting it into service. During a tune-up, our expert technicians inspect components for wear and damage that might jeopardize your well-being. For example, a cracked heat exchanger in your gas furnace could trigger a deadly carbon monoxide leak.We inspect the gas line for leaks and ensure safety controls operate correctly. We also check electrical wiring and connections on both furnaces and heat pumps.
  • Catching Problems Early
Running your heating system when it needs repair or cleaning is risky. Damaged or worn components you could easily swap out now may grow into big, costly problems or even a breakdown in a month or two as your system continues to operate.Fall maintenance ensures all necessary furnace repairs are complete before your furnace begins working 24/7.
  • Better Weather
Why is this important? We turn off your furnace while cleaning or repairing it. Schedule maintenance now for a more comfortable experience during milder weather, so you won’t be sitting in the cold during our visit!

“These people are amazing and truly concerned about caring for their customers! My HVAC (20 years old) completely failed a week ago, and I was trying to get along with small electric heaters, confined all day to a closed bedroom to keep from freezing. When I notified them of this, they immediately started preparing to replace my furnace, coming out to inspect and take measurements for a whole new unit (of my choice) to install soon. But then, because of the sudden news that a record-setting snow storm with sub-freezing temperatures was approaching, they called me back and said that they were concerned for my welfare and had decided to send a crew out early in the morning (just before the snowstorm hit) to make an emergency installation of just the furnace component (leaving the A/C components for later). The crew of servicemen did indeed come early in the morning and successfully completed a major installation of a new furnace unit in its very difficult position in the attic crawl-space, in what seemed record time, soon filling the house with wonderfully warm air – just before the snow began to fall! It has performed beautifully ever since! I have slept in peace, with perfect comfort throughout the house for the first time in a week, very comfortable throughout the very worst of this record freezing weather! I cannot begin to express my deep appreciation for their genuine concern for me, their hurry to assure my welfare, and the flawlessness of their work!”
